Currently creating capacity, investing in new equipment and undergoing extensive refurbishments - Richards Bay will not only be a deep sea water port, but South Africa's premium bulk mineral port within the next six years. The Richards Bay Expansion Programme is currently in progress, adding new berths and extending rail capacity within the port.

Rated an “International Top 100 Company” (NOSA) with a NOSCAR status seven years running, Durban Ro-Ro is South Africa's largest car terminal and the best equipped in the Southern Hemisphere. In the same precinct, the Maydon Wharf Terminal  boasts a state-of-the-art 80 000 ton capacity soya handling facility and improved drafts. 

Affirmed  the best operator in Africa (Drewry Maritime Research Census 2012 ), the Durban Container Terminal is Africa's biggest and busiest - home to the state of the art, twin lift ship-to-shore cranes. Various capacity creation projects are currently underway, including deepening of berths and operational optimization. The terminal currently handles 65% of South Africa's container volumes.

A new entrant in coal exports, the East London Terminal has retained its NOSCAR rating for eight consecutive years. It's South Africa's only river port boasting the largest grain silo in the country. This is a Ro-Ro terminal with agri-bulk, break bulk and container facilities, trading with the world's leading automotive brands. 

The fastest growing terminal in the world for 2012 and 2013 according the Drewry Maritime Research, Ngqura Container Terminal is TPT's  state-of-the-art transshipment hub, servicing traffic from the East, South America, and West African markets. Deep waters, fully equipped and complementing the South African port system, Ngqura is a growing terminal.

South Africa's largest exporter of manganese and an automotive hub for the Eastern Cape Region, the Port Elizabeth Terminal houses a container terminal, a NOSCAR rated Ro-Ro facility and a specialised manganese bulk-handling operation. Recent investments include new break bulk equipment that continues to arrive.

Making its way into the World Top Container Ports 2013 for the first time ever, the Cape Town Container Terminal is currently undergoing expansion that will see increased TEU capacity reach 1.4 million. The terminal is a trading partner of world - renowned beverage and fresh produce companies. Neighbouring is the Cape Town Multi-purpose Terminal, with direct intermodal networks.  

The largest iron ore export facility in Africa, the Saldanha Terminal is the country's vehicle to being an important supplier of iron ore into the East. Current capacity creation at the Sishen -Saldanha channel will see increased bulk tonnages at the terminal. The innovative reverse osmosis plant built by TPT desalinates seawater to manage dust emissions considering the terminal is located in a water-scarce area.
